Love for America

So I was at a "United We Sing" Concert that was put on by "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" and they were performing many different patriotic songs for the public. There were many elderly folk in the crowd and many of them were veterans. One of those happened to be in front of me and started singing along and clapping and kind of disrupting or annoying some people and I was tempted to be annoyed as well... BUT Then it hit me. I saw a look in his eyes that can't be described but it made me think of how much this man loved this great country! He fought and bled for this country, risked much even his life and did so for a purpose! What sort of love and emotion must he have for this country! It was a special moment for me personally... I mean I love and am loyal to my country but i just don't have that same emotion that this man (and many others) had.
It makes me think of how many of us really LOVE our country and why? what do we support and what are we willing to sacrifice for it? I mean i grew up reciting the Pledge to the flag and it's good to think of what we have been pledging to do and if we are doing it or not...
How much do YOU love this great land?
